What this is
gatecheck.in is a visitor record for a single private house. It replaces the paper register in the guard’s drawer. It does not control a gate, a barrier or a lock, and it does not provide security services or monitoring.
The Founding Pilot
Access is free while we are testing. Pricing will be announced before paid launch so households can decide whether to continue. No card is required during testing and nothing is charged automatically. Normal retention and deletion rules continue to apply. Testing access may be suspended for misuse.
Your responsibilities
- You are the Data Fiduciary for your own gate register. Display the gate notice where visitors can see it, and tell your staff what is recorded.
- Keep the gatekeeper’s mobile number and sign-in code private. Anyone with those credentials can record entries in that guard’s name.
- Revoke a gate device from the account screen when a guard leaves.
- Do not use the record to monitor a worker beyond the fact of entry and exit.
What we do not promise
The product depends on mobile networks, push notification services and the guard’s phone. Notifications may be delayed or not arrive. Do not rely on gatecheck.in as the only way to be reached about someone at your gate. The service is provided as-is during the pilot, with no uptime guarantee.
Ending it
A House Owner can delete a household and all of its records from the account screen. The house stops working immediately and the data is purged after seven days. Until that purge runs, the request can be cancelled.
